There are towns on the Iberian Peninsula that particularly welcome passers-by with generosity. Gijon is one of them. While taking a morning stroll, the row of benches in front of the marina naturally invites all and sundry to contemplate life’s sweetness when one is at peace with the world. To stop for a moment and observe the movement of things is to give free rein to the inner journey, without direction nor goal, and fully attentive to the slightest psychological variations. Calm is back, characterized by warmth in the air. How good it is to no longer be pressured by time, freed from the watch and the permanent urge to be, to become.
There is nothing to become, because that implies a contradiction : wanting to be what one is not. It is from this that the conflict arises. Wanting to become anything is a an avoidance before instant truth, that of who we are.
We are champions of projection, goals and dreams. It is only in the observation of what we are that we can perceive the conflictual state of our relationships, our inner isolation, our fears, trauma, the poverty of our inner life and all the forms of illusions we encourage. Understanding all of this is the beginning of intelligence. Projections are only clever means of escaping observation. Thus in the sweetness of the morning, everything seems to be in order, quiet, and then silence is everywhere .
