Goals, projections and time...

We miss the point of existence by projecting ourselves in time. It is a way of denying the beauty in each moment. And we do not seem to know how to function other than in thought. We struggle with all kinds of goals, we invent, we pretend.. To project oneself into anything is to dissociate oneself from the moment, it is to give birth to the illusion of the ego. There can be no beauty and greatness in the projecting of oneself. It may seem incredible but it is so. Let's observe it attentively.

There can be no beauty and greatness in the projecting of oneself. It may seem incredible but it is so. Let's observe it attentively.

To be totally of the moment is to go ahead without choosing, without any certainties, and without the shadow of the "me" which criticizes, judges, condemns, imagines and justifies.

Certainty is a lack of humility, it is the scourge of the modern world. It is what makes individuals ugly and arrogant. Certainty and convictions are skillful means of asserting one's ego, of always being right, and being unable to hear anything other than one's inner noise. The world is filled with these people, unfortunately. And let's face it, we also succumb to it..

It is humility that allows for questioning, it is a virtuous mode, no doubt about it. While with the convinced individual, there is this need for reassurance, certainty and the need for psychological security. Always wanting to be right is the manifestation of fear of the unknown, and of life in general. But life is unknown, we cannot be sure of anything. The craving for security paralyzes, for there is nothing to prepare to, psychologically we mean, because the moment is not static nor frozen. Everything is in motion. It is thought that creates fear, and when we see a danger we move away from it, naturally.

It is only when thought comes in that fear manifests itself.. "I almost died.." do we think afterwards. The individual, seeking security, perpetuates fear while maintaining the ego..

Out of this inner uncertainty, we compensate by reassuring ourself with certainties and convictions. On the other hand, the humble one accepts things as they come, simply, without choice, for there is nothing permanent, that is a fact. So the skillful mind invents gods for security's sake, because we are afraid of so many things. There is the fear of dying, the great unknown. We are afraid of losing all our attachments, our little pleasures : sex, cigarettes, alcohol, woman, name, bank account, empire, etc.. because we are identified with all this junk. We see each ourself through it, and in turn it strengthens the ego.

To let go of what we are, that is to say to all our conflicts, our beliefs and our pleasures, is to free oneself from the fear of dying, because there is nothing more to lose and nothing left to give up,

WE ALREADY DID IT !
